An amazing town hall style celebration and acceptance of failure in entrepreneurship, individuals, startups, and life. We will uncover personal and professional 'failures', let them go, and create a community support structure for one another championing growth and re-labeling failure as a "Speed Bump."
Ways we use failure as an excuse that limits us from success:1. Failure is holding me back because I tried and didn't succeed at something.
- I am afraid if I try again I will not succeed again.
- I am afraid of what people will say if I try again.
- I don't want to let people down again.
- I don't want to feel that emotionally again.
- I can't because I tried something before and it didn't work.
2. Failure is holding me back because I am scared of not succeeding.
- What if I fail?
- This is going to require a lot of work and if I fail I've waisted a lot of time, money, etc.
- I can't do it.
3. I am keeping a secret about 'failure'
- I am scared that if people know I was less than successful they will judge me.
- I haven't fully let go and I am not ready/can't move on.
A group journey from seeing failure as a scarlet letter to seeing it as a badge of honor.
Come with any idea or startup and “let it go” in a celebration of failure. Talk briefly about what your thing was (startup, project, idea), why it didn’t work, acknowledge the positive and bury it (metaphorically).
Attendance is open to all.
