Public Speaking, Roller Coasters, and Tourette Syndrome
Public Speaking is a pretty big fear for many people, on top of so many other things we want to accomplish in life.

We fear failure and rejection. Some people fear heights or roller coasters... you name it.

So how do we face these fears and learn to deal with them?

I grew up dealing with Tourette Syndrome, and didn't learn until I was older that I had it. It was a cloud hanging over me for a very long time. Rejection, fear of being in crowds, fear of never succeeding; they all hung over me.

I learned not to let it define me or limit me. One of the areas I have not allowed it to limit me is in public speaking. I also run a company and deal with people every single day.

So what advice do I have for anyone looking to get over their fears and take on public speaking, or any other fear they have? The same advice I have for how I got over my fear of roller coasters.

Join me and discover how you can take steps to put those fears aside and reach your potential!"

Startup Funeral: A Celebration of Failure
An amazing town hall style celebration and acceptance of failure in entrepreneurship, individuals, startups, and life. We will uncover personal and professional 'failures', let them go, and create a community support structure for one another championing growth and re-labeling failure as a "Speed Bump."

Ways we use failure as an excuse that limits us from success:

1. Failure is holding me back because I tried and didn't succeed at something.
- I am afraid if I try again I will not succeed again.
- I am afraid of what people will say if I try again.
- I don't want to let people down again.
- I don't want to feel that emotionally again.
- I can't because I tried something before and it didn't work.

2. Failure is holding me back because I am scared of not succeeding.
- What if I fail?
- This is going to require a lot of work and if I fail I've waisted a lot of time, money, etc.
- I can't do it.

3. I am keeping a secret about 'failure'
- I am scared that if people know I was less than successful they will judge me.
- I haven't fully let go and I am not ready/can't move on.

A group journey from seeing failure as a scarlet letter to seeing it as a badge of honor.

Come with any idea or startup and “let it go” in a celebration of failure. Talk briefly about what your thing was (startup, project, idea), why it didn’t work, acknowledge the positive and bury it (metaphorically).

Attendance is open to all.
Apply to participate here.

Marketing Your Startup in 2019
“Marketing and Innovation make money, everything else is a cost” - Peter Drucker

In any business, there are plenty of areas that will cost you money. Marketing should not be one of them.

Marketing should be where you make money.

I know what you’re thinking “Easier said than done”. You’re right... it’s not easy, however having a better understanding of how to do marketing, track success, and avoid bad strategies, will certainly help.

This session is a crash course in all things marketing. We’ll go over the importance of marketing and how to give yourself the best chance of doing it right.

There are often many unanswered questions that a startup faces… Should you advertise? Do SEO? Use social media? Blog?

We’ll cover each one of these and more. We’ll look at how to decide which strategies are right for you and how to implement them for the greatest chance of success.

We wrap up with some Q&A, if there’s time, so you can get answers for your specific business.

Bring a notepad, pen, and any questions you have! The goal here is to leave with a better understanding of which marketing is best for you, and how to get started on it.

How to Grow Your Brand on IG
"It's not just tea. It's a lifestyle." ...just the same can be said for an entrepreneur - it becomes a lifestyle!

At 23, Adi Arezzini created Teami - she saw Teami as a way to help people become healthier and happier, with teas to solve everyday issues. It did not take long for Teami to sweep the social media world with their crisp & colorful photos, enticing recipes, and their ambassadors to share of their experiences & love for Teami.

Just five years after inception @TeamiBlends has 920K followers! Just take a quick look at their Insta feed - it is easy to see that their influencers (Kylie Jenner & Cardi B to name a few), ambassadors, rave reviews, & engagement with their audience is what has grown the brand over the years.

We are very excited to welcome Adi back to Tampa Bay Startup Week. This year, she will be sharing with us How to Grow Your Brand on IG. Whether your Startup is just beginning, or you are 10 years in - we look forward to Adi's tips and views on how to leverage Instagram, stories, and even hashtags to help take your business to the next level.

We hope to see you there!
