Richard Nicholas

Rick’s spent most of his career in Tampa’s startup and technology scenes and did his first M+A transaction at 22.

He took over and grew the data center hosting firm E Solutions Corporation and was named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal 30 under 30 before selling the company in 2012 to a publicly traded cable company, Knology. After integrating E Solutions into Knology and acquiring a complimentary Cloud, Data Center, and Fiber asset for Knology, Rick joined as a partner leading strategy and M+A at Hivelocity.net, a local data center and hosting firm with approximately 80 employees. Since joining Hivelocity, Rick’s led dramatic organic growth and completed two acquisitions with more to come. The process of preparing E Solutions for sale in 2011 and the evaluation of hundreds of companies for sale across industries since then guides many of his practices in how to run a company today.
